Moldova and Georgia join the Creative Europe

Moldova has become the second neighbourhood country after Georgia to join the EU’s Creative Europe programme, allowing cultural and creative organisations from the country to team up with partners from all over Europe to get funding for cultural cooperation projects, literary translation schemes, and cultural networks and platforms in the framework of Creative Europe.

After Georgia and Moldova, Ukraine could be the next neighbourhood country to join the programme.

European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Tibor Navracsics noted that the “Programme will allow Moldova to open up to Europe and the world” as well as to strengthen the capacity of cultural and creative industries in Moldova by “taking part in cultural cooperation projects, literary translation schemes and cultural networks”.
